Watched it? So what do you think? Casey is a hero? Richard deserved it?
I honestly think Casey was right in retaliating, no argument on that, but BODY SLAMMING? IF he had dropped him the wrong way, he could have died. I don't think he will be hero status if that happens. Some was so impressed they called him the Zanggief kid after the street fighter character whos trademark move is the body slam. Martial arts teach us how to defend ourself, of course they are aggressive and self-defending types. But body slamming is too much, he should restrain him or pin him, he is after all larger in size therefore naturally stronger, he dint have to take it that far. Then again, he might not have thought of it when he acted in self defense.
The school however was right to suspend both students, the school acted in the principle that we should seek peaceful and justifiable solution. What if the video dint went online and both kids continue to hate and bully each other, fighting and finding trouble with each other? Fighting to end a bully will only cause the bully to find more ppl to bully you in return, we have seen enough movies, mafias and gangster shows to prove that. Y hack the school site and blame the school for teaching the right values?(a group of hackers who supported WikiLeaks hacked the school site condemning the schools actions of suspending Casey the hero fr 4 days).
It takes guts to go on national tv and get interview about bullying others. A few things worth noting:
a) He claimed that he was verbally abused 1st by Casey.
b) When he was asked if he was sorry for what he did he replied "No" at 1st but changed to "yes" when his dad glanced at him.
c)No child is born a bully nor evil.
I believe the clip is true abt it, the 47secs do not show the true story behind the scenes. He maybe a regular bully, i dont know. Both might be bullies in fact, physically or verbally. The truth is unclear. But one thing i can be sure of, Richard did not deserve to be condemned, hated and despise upon. Study the case of bullies, no bully is not a victim of bullies and abuse himself. Bullies usually come frm troubled background, their families torn or parents abusive or even absent. They are children, victims of cause and the environment they live in. The may bully in seek of attention, bully in return of the hatred of being bullied, bully due to hatred and tension at home, or even bully cause he is spoilt. But in this case i dont think Richard was spoilt. Probably due to insufficient attention and love i suppose. You condemn him, call him a devil, curse him that he will burn in hell, mock him that he is not sorry and that millions hate him, he deserve to die and stuff. So your not a bully? Bullying a bully is not bullying? Thats like saying she is a prostitute, she deserved to be raped; He is a thief, he deserve to die when he fell frm a building trying to escape; She is a backstabber she deserve it when she had an unlucky day. Yes i dont blame you that you hate and despise spiteful and idiotic ppl, but abusing each other will go no where. Hatred will only spread and go to and fro among yourself.
He deserves a second chance. So do all the other offenders who have learnt their lesson. They have to be given a chance to understd y they are wrong and how they should control themself. He is merely a kid, child bully, still young and fully of youth. He can still be taught and changed to be a better person. Y condemn him as if he is some world enemy?
When others offend us, robbers rob us, rapist sully us, bullies abuse us, i know we all fell hate and seek redemption. The pain is overwhelming. That is y we should not do the same, we should not hurt others, along the way we may make lots and tons of mistake, but its never to late to learn and apologize for what we did...
Spread not the seed of evil, because it grows in the heart of those u hurt, and they in return may hurt others and the cycle of evil seed will never end. Lets us all do our part in minimizing this and make this place a better world...
